CVM presents NTQ, avalanche lily

NTQ returns to the stage at Con Vivo Music with a program of new works for saxophone quartet featuring Amy Beth Kirsten’s avalanche lily, a multi-movement work inspired by wildflowers from the mountains of Wyoming and developed with support from the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program. Each movement draws from a unique concept found in nature, from flowers whose appearance indicates a risk of avalanche, to plants that split stones and trees holding onto nutrients to survive until spring.

I’ve such a blast working with Amy on various projects over the years. It has been such a pleasure to collaborate on a piece for New Thread and we deeply appreciate Chamber Music America’s support!
